Understanding Trauma and Attachment

Joline was the 1st therapist who took the time to know our family and our situation. She taught us attachment skills with understanding and caring. She helped us open up with our past trauma, which held us back with total attachment to our adoptive child. She was more than a family therapist to our family

I have a lot of fun with my Nana: we go all over the place and have exciting adventures every weekend to help with sensory processing integration.

I like soft clothes and warm blankets; if you have a sensory processing disorder, you might like this too. I love to use sensory items when I am anxious or stressed: sand is my favorite. Sensory processing integration is part of my O.T, which my nana does with me.  I like to play games-PS4-video games and board games. I also play cards. I love Tigers, Cheetahs, and my dogs. I want to be a veterinarian.

About Us

AT Home

The Lake is always fun. The ducks come into my yard, and we have baby ducks in the spring. I can walk to the edge of the Lake and fish. With my sensory processing disorder, I don't like the feel of the bottom of the Lake. With my nana as my coach and therapist,  I do a lot!

My Nana and I take adventures

I and Nana have a lot of fun and go places. We live near St Louis but we go all over. My sensory processing integration does not stop me from visiting St. Louis. We saw the balloon races, visit the zoo, and play at the park. I want to take my hoverboard next time and my nana as my explorer guild and therapist, helps me to do things like that.

I struggle sometimes with things

Sometimes I struggle with people, food, and school. If you have sensory processing disorder, I bet you do too. I like to be in school, but it is hard when you have sensory processing integration issues. I can't always remember things, and I am chatty.  I love to be with people and talk to them about new adventures. A life coach like my nana can help you overcome those struggles also.
