The Saint Louis zoo is always a good time and Forest Park has so much to off it is a day trip for sure. A roadside stop if you need a little refresher and something free for the kiddos to do while you relax, walk and enjoy the attractions and exhibits.
We choose to see Elephants, Giraffes, and Tigers during our visit. Saint Louis zoo is free. Saint Louis zoo is located downtown in Forest Park. Deciding beforehand what you want to see is the easiest way to be sure to get in all your must-sees during your visit. In the visitors center at the main entrance, you can purchase daily passes, receive free maps, and visit the gift shop.
Throughout the zoo, you have options for snacks or meals. Bathrooms are conveniently located in each area of the zoo. Food courts and other attractions like the Carisol with its antique-looking animals.
The train ride is always fun but it Gives Christian a headache (too much movement for his vestibular sense.) However, for everyone else it is awesome! YOu can see the entire zoo, get on and off at any stop, and they have a place for your carriage, stroller, or wagon so you don’t have to leave it – it doe shave certain requirements on the folding and storing.
Elephants at River’s edge have easy viewing access for observing and picture taking. The Giraffes, with long necks, can reach over the rock wall and grab leaves near viewers. Tigers have sleeping and playing areas where they can climb, swim, and rest from all the excitement of viewing. The Saint Louis zoo is always fun and has much more than just elephants, giraffes, and tigers. But for Christian the best are the Cheetahs and when you see babies that is even more awesome!
