Hannable Missouri

This Missouri Explorer spends time in Hannable Missouri at the Steampunk Festival. I love costumes and this is a perfect time for me to try out some new ideas. It was hot and I wore shorts but I was still decked out with my hat, glove, and mask.

Visitors to the Hannibal History Museum tell us that they need at least two days to visit the attractions, take the tours, and explore the wonderful shopping in Hannibal. per their website: https://www.bigriversteampunkfestival.com/plan-your-visit.html STAY: You may choose to stay in one of Hannibal’s historic Bed & Breakfasts or find a comfy room in one of the many hotels in and around Hannibal. EAT: From fine dining to kid-friendly fare, local restaurateurs will tantalize your tastebuds. ENJOY: Outdoor types will enjoy campgrounds, scenic trails, beautiful parks overlooking the Mississippi River, bike trails, water sports, and a visit to Mark Twain Lake.

FOR THE KIDS:

There’s plenty to keep the kids busy, from climbing the 244 steps to the Lighthouse to exploring the Mark Twain Cave. EVENINGS: In the evening, walk amongst the graves of Civil War soldiers and search for signs of paranormal activity on the Haunted Hannibal Ghost Tour or cruise the Mississippi River on the riverboat, Mark Twain.

This Missouri Explorer loved climbing the 244 steps to look at the beautiful vista. He did say “it’s a lot of steps!” but the view is worth it! In his video Hannibal, you can see the beautiful views, and a glimpse of the past, and Mark Twain makes a short and quick appearance.

This explorer loved the sights, sounds, and excitement of Steampunk in Missouri.
