This was a bit of a crazy year. Nana and I lived on the lot in our camper from August 2024 to October 2025.
Our RV life was the end of the 9th grade and all of the 10th grade. We moved and still lived in the RV when we bought the house in the new town because of all the weeks we had to do before moving in.
I loved my school year and living in the RV on the lot. We had a shed that we painted (it was pink), and we painted it blue. In the shed was an office with heat, air conditioning, a TV, computers, a mini fridge, and a microwave. It was a very nice ‘man cave’ for me and an office for my Nana when she used it.
My friends would come over to the lot, and we would walk around the lake, use the RZR, and play video games. We had a place for dinner and BBQs. I was at home at the lot and in the RV. You would think the RV would be uncomfortable, but ours was very comfortable for us. It is small but big enough. We did not have water on the lot, so I had to take the Rino tank to the dump station in the back of the wagon attached to the RZR. We would go into town and get water from the water filtering station in 5-gallon jugs. You would think it was a lot of work, but really it was ok.
We were looking at houses to buy and have a house, but something happened at school toward the end of the year. I was bullied again, but this time it was different. I had family and friends who stood by me. My dad said he had had enough of the bullying in school, and we were moving. We all moved to the city or town where my family lives. My Nana and I had lived there, in this town, during the winter because it was too cold to be in the RV. I know the town because my family lives there.
We bought a house in this small town to change my schools because of school drama, and it was not safe for me. Now, we have moved to a new city, maybe Town, which only has 2,000 people, and I had to go to a new school. The new school was hard. I was not in trouble, but the work was harder than I had known before. I really like the school and the other kids, but I can’t seem to get the work done. I am not sure why I can’t? My dad says I may fail this year. I hope I don’t. I am trying, but I just can’t seem to keep up.
Nana had to do a lot of work on the house, so we lived in the camper in the new/old house’s yard. It was nice to have that time together before everything started to change for me.
I made friends, and we worked together to get the yard cleared at the new house. I have my own room and was able to paint and decorate it like a cowboy room. We still have the lot in St. Clair, so we can go as often as we want —even in the winter —but we don’t stay in the camper in the winter.
We did visit Florida this year which was pretty amazing even if I didn’t get to swim with the manatees I did get to add more states to my goal of visiting all the states before I graduate.
